We had a kind friendship at one time. Psalm 55:14-14; For it is not an enemy who reproaches me; Then I could bear it. Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me; Then I could hide from him. 13 But it was you a man my equal, my companion and my acquaintance. 14 We took sweet together, and walked to the house of God in the throng.

Jesus spoke just about you. Matt 7:15-20; "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.

Your fruit is more than just winning souls and baptizing them. Your fruit is also and very importantly how you treat and respect God's people.

Go NTBC and do everything you are commanded to do by MS. Then stop tithing and see how you are treated. MS watches the offering plate. It is very very important to him. Woe and Woe again. I am not innocent in my own sins. Know where you are with God. If you don't belong in leadership then step down. According to the Bible MS really belongs in prison. By the fruits you will know them.

This church is very legalistic. MS and his wife Lynda Joy Stoddard come off as nice, caring loving christians. Once involved in the church, bam, it begins. The kindness can last for a long time. You may loose your marriage, pushed by MS. You will definitely loose lots of your money.

The Bible will be used against you if you ever try to straighten out any wrong you see. Forget about confronting anything it falls on deaf ears and you will be rebuked harshly.

Michael Stoddard's Deceived Staff for Greed

When I added it up years ago I worked approximately 24 months without pay. Lev 19:13 You shall not cheat your neighbor, nor rob him. The wages of him who is hired shall not remain with you all night until morning. That is straight out of Gods word. Mark Davis once told me it is an embarrassment for a pastor not to pay his staff. Now that my friends and I are not under the "fear of reproach" we can speak candidly about our experiences. I was not the only one. All staff at one time or another were not paid and it continues to this day.
You reading this would say, "then why did you stay, thats your fault." You are right! Michael stoddard would say, "don't let the door hit you on the way out!" Thats why I don't pursue getting it back. I can now explain to you and give you an inside look into a wearing away of a person's will unknowingly. You might say this would never happen to you. Well when all the right circumstances line up and you are a willing participant in part of the brainwashing, it can happen to anyone. Not just a church. It could be a marriage, job, friendships, family. Ya see you are willing at first cause its a fun place or person to be around. You establish a good, healthy positive relationship. You invest yourself in that relationship. You establish yourself in a cause. Like bringing others to Christ. Living for Christ. And this is all good. Then there is physical proof of the good works done in the name of God. Like people coming to Christ and changing their lives. So there is a lot of good things happening and they are right things. So you live that for years and all your friends are in the church. You see how God is blessing and witness His mighty power. Wouldn't you want all this as a devoted Christian?
It was fun, things were great. We had such good relationships with all in the church and the community we served. Then I went on staff. BAM! Guess what? I started seeing behind the veil. I went 5 years as a member. Just enough time to be mentally pulled in, my wife and I both. Intimidation, fear of the pastor. An unhealthy fear of god, that he might kill me or my family if I miss a step in my walk with him. God forbid if you tried to talk to anyone of what you were seeing or feeling about the wrong that was happening. Not even your spouse. "Not allowed to talk about the pastor. God is going to punish you if you do, he is the man of god!" So see. It took 5 years of great spiritual, exciting things to happen to be hooked in. Once on staff you are michael stoddard's slave. Yes I said slave. Do what he says or else. God tells him what is good for you. Why not leave? Because I was mentally and emotionally deeply involved. I still wanted to pursue the cause, no matter what, even if the pastor was a narcosis. It was all about him and the church becoming this big place that all other churches would look up to as the standard for a great soulwinning church. It was about pride in being the best. The most baptisms, the most salvations. All so we could go to the big soulwinning clinic in longview texas and show the rest of the churches how great a church we were. So michael stoddard could stand up in front of everyone and get his plaque as we screamed for him. Sounds like Hitler and his nazi followers. It was. So ungodly. Matt 6:33 comes to mind. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God..."
So thats how you become brainwashed into a cause. Lost not only your pay. Your credit. Your normal way of life and living. Then the loss of your spouse, almost. If michael stoddard had it his way, my wife would of left me and became a full time servant to the "great whore."
This story is not embellished. Doesn't need to be. This is my prayer now. Please michael stoddard stop, stop stop! I am praying for you. God does miracles all the time. Make restitution with all that you have hurt. I do not want vengeance on you. I want you to see the True Christ. Grace, mercy, salvation, LOVE. Love for people. You are hurt because people left your church and you and your wife take it personal and have in your mind that they have turned their back on you and your tyrant god. "Bent their knee to bale." as you used to say. People left because you were mean, nasty, and unthankful for the blood, sweat and heartbreak you have caused them. Yea they did turn their back on abuse. Spiritual abuse.
Michael Stoddard. Step back. Take a look at what you have done. Read all the blogs. Maybe you can see a part of yourself that obviously you are not seeing. Are all these people backslidden and making this up? This many people. Its got to be well over a 100 plus families. Please people are praying for you. Read Titus. You can't be a pastor according to the Word of God. Step down, make it right, move on. God is going to have to apologize to many if you walk with a content heart. You have deceived yourself, your wife and Daniel. Why is your heart not broke and contrite? Are you not listening to the Holy Spirit? Conviction and guilt is good. It makes you change. Why haven't you changed? What side of the gulf are you on? I am perplexed that your heart hasn't changed after all these years. Wake up, take inventory!

Michael Stoddard=Spiritual Abuser!

This blog is to help warn all people in the East Hartford, Connecticut area. New Testament Baptist Church in East Hartford CT. 111 Ash St. is a dangerous church with hard line legalistic issues. They have a christian school. Beware! At first all seems ideal. Your child will soon have some problems that you may have to get a psychiatrist to pull out of them. Intimidation and fear is used to control the kids and teachers. A fear of a tyrant god who will hurt you if you fall into disobedience. I spent 10 years as a member and 5 years on staff. Please read the book, The Subtle Power of Spiritual Abuse, by David Johnson & Jeff VanVonderen if you have or are currently attending or working there. You will be amazed how abused you have been and didn't even know it. There are some great blogs on Thoughts.com. Go to that site. Register, go to groups and look up Micheal Stoddard. Read the blogs. See what this man and his wife have done. They have tried and succeeded in splitting up marriages. Usually the husband has had enough and he leaves first, then MS gets a hold of the wife. He tells her your spouse is going to ruin your christian family. Then he attempts to take over the role of the husband. He does this with kindness and sweetness. It is done behind the husbands back and in his absence. Many husbands are very angry about this. Careful michael, Careful. What you have said in private for so many years is now about to be exposed on the internet. He and his wife are kind. He is charismatic, fun and funny to be around at first. He physically threatened me 3 times. Grabbing my tie and pulling me towards his face. Then speaking to me in rage and anger. He told me one day on the phone he was going to "kick my a.." Yea that was my pastor and spiritual leader at one time. He mocked me personally and my father (who was a priest) publicly and privately. My friends lost their homes, marriages, credit and stopped walking with the Lord because of his destructive influence on their lives.

Michael Stoddard needs to step down as the pastor of NTBC. The church needs a new and positive leader or close the doors. Please help get the word out.
